Mr Wong, a specialist in artificial turf, did a great job installing his high-end Belgian turf at Bodmin Drive for my niece's house in 2016. It's been 10 years and the grass is still in excellent condition and looks like natural grass. The best advantage is that it is maintenance free.

Wong helped us resurface our garden and lay new turf a few weeks ago and we are extremely happy with the result. Wong was very helpful discussing all our options and communicating on start dates and the work involved. His team were professional and did a great job. They even helped lay some extra turf up the side of our house, which was left over from the job. Everyone has been complimenting our garden since! Thank you

Safe for the kids and pets, and when our tenancy ended the floor underneath was left perfectly clean no marks at all. The team was tidy and professional from start to finish.

Did the artificial grass installation for my office. Mr Wong is very nice and responsible. He answered all my questions patiently and the result looks fantastic. Highly recommend.

Why change

Is your training floor worn flat, curling or holding the damp?

Rubber tiles creep apart, long landscape turf mats into a shiny strip and a sealed floor keeps the sweat in. The right turf system on the right zones fixes all three.

Switch to premium turf

A lane worn into a shiny strip

Long landscape turf lies down under constant traffic and never stands back up. Silva PE is a short, dense 14 mm pile that holds its texture where the class runs.

Tiles that curl and shift

Loose mats creep apart and lift at the joints, and every gap is a trip hazard mid-class. Bonded turf with closed seams stays put and reads as one clean surface.

Sweat, damp and smell

Sealed floors hold moisture and start to turn. A free-draining turf system rinses clean, dries fast and is ready for the next session.

Straight answer

No artificial grass survives a weighted sled.

Any supplier who tells you their turf handles a loaded sled is selling you a replacement in twelve months. A sled needs a dedicated sled track or rubber, and we will say so before you spend the money. What turf does better than anything else is the training lane, the functional zone and the studio floor: grippy underfoot, quiet under a class, kind on hands and knees, and warm to look at in a room full of black steel. We put it where it performs and we tell you where it does not belong.

The system we build

Namsports Silva PE, short, dense and infill free.

Silva PE is woven from 100% polyethylene fibre at a short 14 mm pile, which gives grip underfoot, a true roll and enough body to take constant class traffic. On a gym floor we lay it with no sand infill at all, so nothing migrates into the rubber, nothing needs topping up and the surface you sign off is the surface you keep. Every roll carries the heavy duty latex backing and the Tuftlock system, with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. Rolls are 4 m wide and cut to length, so we plan the lanes to put the seams where nobody trains.

Artificial grass training lane running the length of the studio floor at BFT Harbourfront gym, Singapore
  • 14 mm, 100% polyethylene fibre, short and dense, for grip and body underfoot.
  • No sand infill, so there is nothing to kick out of the lane, top up or sweep off the rubber.
  • Heavy duty latex backing with the Tuftlock system, so the tufts hold through daily use.
  • 4 m rolls, cut to length, planned so the seams fall away from the training lane.
  • Shockpad option under the zones where weights are set down, specified to what you lift.
  • 10-year warranty on the installed system, not just the roll.
Where it goes

Every zone turf actually belongs in.

Each zone asks something different of the floor, so each one gets its own build-up rather than the same roll rolled out everywhere.

Training lanes and sprint strips

The green lane down the middle of the room, set out to the distance you coach and seamed clear of the running line.

Functional and HIIT zones

Grippy, quiet underfoot and kind on hands and knees, for circuits, carries, mobility work and floor work.

Studios, lobbies and rooftop yards

Studio floors, reception and condo gyms indoors, and outdoor rooftop training decks laid over drainage.

Proven 40 times over

The floor in more than 40 BFT studios.

A franchise does not hand the same trade forty studios by accident. We have surfaced BFT gyms from Orchard, Harbourfront and Tanjong Pagar to Yishun, Woodlands, Punggol Coast and Bedok Reservoir, each one laid to the same standard and handed over on schedule. The same crew installs at Wao Fitness, Afro Asia and condo gyms across the island.

Why gyms and studios choose ibuild

The trade a national fitness franchise keeps calling back, laying the turf specified for stadium pitches, with the warranty in writing.

  • More than 40 BFT studios surfaced across Singapore, so the fit-out sequence holds no surprises.
  • Authorised Namgrass and Namsports supplier, so you get the sports range, not a landscape roll sold as one.
  • Honest zoning, turf where it performs and rubber where it belongs, told to you up front.
  • One dedicated team, design, supply and install in-house, with no subcontractors.
  • Works around your timetable, phased so the studio keeps trading while we lay.
  • 10-year warranty on the installed system, not just the roll.

A cheap roll fails in the traffic lane first.

Budget turf is built to be looked at, not trained on. It lies flat, splits at the seam and is torn out within a year, which costs more than laying the right turf once.

Why cheap costs more

Surfacing a pitch or a court as well?

For football, rugby, hockey and multisport fields we install the full Namsports sports range, tested and approved to FIFA standards.

Common questions

What artificial grass do you use on a gym floor?
We install Namsports Silva PE, a 14 mm turf woven from 100% polyethylene fibre onto a heavy duty latex backing with the Tuftlock system. On a gym floor we lay it with no sand infill, so nothing migrates out of the lane, nothing needs topping up and nothing gets swept onto the rubber.
Can I drag a weighted sled on artificial grass?
No, and we will tell you that before you spend the money. No artificial grass survives a loaded sled being dragged across it, whatever a supplier claims. A sled needs a dedicated sled track or rubber. Turf belongs on the training lane, the functional zone and the studio floor, where it outperforms everything else.
Can it be installed indoors over a concrete slab?
Yes. On a level slab we bond and edge-fix the turf directly, with a shockpad underneath where weights are set down. Outdoor training yards get a drainage layer instead, so the surface is usable minutes after rain.
How much does a gym turf floor cost in Singapore?
It depends on the area, the access and whether a shockpad is needed. We visit, measure the zones, recommend the right build-up and quote it, free and with no obligation.
