How artificial grass is made.

The lawns we lay are only as good as the turf behind them. Namgrass is engineered in Belgium, with the quality, UV resistance and safety built in at the factory, blade by blade. Here’s how it’s made.

The process

From polymer to pitch-ready roll.

Eight stages turn raw polymer into turf that looks real and lasts in the tropics.

Polymer selection

It starts with premium-grade polymers chosen for resilience and a natural feel. The raw material is matched to the turf's intended use, from soft family lawns to hard-wearing sports surfaces.

UV stabilisation & colour

Pigments and UV stabilisers are blended into the melt so colour and strength run all the way through each blade, the reason Namgrass holds its look for years under harsh sun.

Yarn extrusion

The blend is extruded into fibres, fibrillated or monofilament, then stretched and textured to give each blade its shape, memory and lifelike movement.

Tufting

Thousands of yarn ends are tufted into a primary backing on precision machines, building the pile height, density and stitch pattern specified for the range.

Latex coating

A heavy-duty coating is applied to the back and cured, locking every fibre in place with the Tuftlock™ anchorage so the pile won't pull out in use.

Drainage perforation

The backing is perforated so water drains straight through, essential for Singapore's downpours, keeping the surface usable and free of standing water.

Quality control

Every batch is lab- and field-tested against ISO 9001, EN 71-3 and federation standards before it earns the GreenGrass label and its 10-year warranty.
