Two-tone stripes

Stripes give a lawn depth and a groomed, sports field look without a mower in sight. We create them one of two ways. We either seam together bands of two different Namgrass tones, or we lay the same turf in alternating pile directions so the light catches each band differently. Both give clean, repeating lines that suit a long garden, a poolside run or an event lawn.

Checkerboard and geometric squares

For a bolder, more architectural finish, we cut and seam contrasting squares into a checkerboard. It works beautifully on feature corners, roof terraces and play areas, where a strong geometric pattern reads well from above. The tighter the squares, the more seam work involved, which is why the layout is planned before a single roll is cut.

Contrasting borders and edging

A border frames a space and makes the whole install look designed. We run a contrasting fringe or a clean tan edge around a lawn or a putting green, so the eye reads one finished piece rather than a sheet of grass that simply stops at the paving. Borders are also a neat way to follow a curved bed or a pool coping line.

Putting green blends

A putting green is a pattern in its own right. We pair a smooth, short putting surface with a longer fringe collar in a different tone, then cut the cup and shape the contours in. The result plays and reads like the real thing, and the fringe makes the green sit naturally in the garden around it.
