A landed home on Da Silva Lane had a wide, empty concrete roof deck baking in the sun. We laid 53 square metres of premium Namgrass across it, threaded a granite stepping-stone path through the lawn and wrapped the base of a jacuzzi, so the whole roof became a soft, green outdoor room, cool underfoot and green every day of the year.

The roof deck was a large, exposed concrete platform, too hot to stand on barefoot and doing nothing for the home. The owners wanted a proper outdoor lounge up there: a jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, a BBQ corner and a wood platform, all tied together by a surface that felt like a real lawn.
Living turf was out, no soil, no easy irrigation and a waterproofed roof to protect. Premium Namgrass gave them the look and feel of grass with none of the weight, watering or drainage headaches.

Drains, stays dry
The turf sits on a free-draining base so rain runs straight to the roof outlets. No pooling, no soil washing away, and the waterproofing underneath stays untouched.
Cool and soft underfoot
Where bare concrete radiated heat, the turf is comfortable to stand on barefoot, exactly what you want stepping out of a jacuzzi or lounging in the evening.
No mowing at altitude
No hauling a mower to the roof, no watering, no fertiliser. An occasional brush keeps the pile upright and the deck looks freshly cut all year.
