Strip out the old grass & mill the surface
The existing artificial grass had faded and flattened. We removed it entirely, milled and cleared the surface, then compacted and levelled the base, because a lawn is only ever as good as what's underneath it.
Move sand & cement to level 8
Materials were hauled up to the rooftop and set out ready to build the screed, the level, stable bed the whole system sits on.
Cement screed the area
A cement screed was laid and finished to an even fall, giving a solid, true surface and directing water toward the drainage points.
Install VersiCell drainage cells
Premium VersiCell drainage cells went down over the screed, the layer that clears Singapore's downpours in seconds, protects the waterproofing and keeps the finished lawn dry and usable.
