High above Clarke Quay, three separate rooftop zones needed to read as one striking green landmark. We wrapped the main roof terrace, the circular pool-bar roof and the gym cube in premium Namgrass synthetic turf, set in a light-and-dark checkerboard that looks sharp from the guest rooms above and the street below.

Guest rooms and the pool deck look straight down onto these roofs. Left as bare concrete and plant rooms, they were an eyesore, hot, grey and lifeless in a hotel that sells a green, resort feel.
The answer was synthetic turf, laid across three very different shapes, a long rectangular terrace, a perfect circle over the pool bar, and a raised gym cube, tied together by a single checkerboard pattern so the whole roofscape reads as one considered design.
