A landed home on Serangoon Garden Way wanted grass everywhere it counted, a rooftop entertaining deck with a reflecting pool, garden-level putting greens for practice, and soft lawn around the house. We built it up surface by surface from 2019, over a proper drainage-cell base, and have kept it playing true in the years since.

This is a modern landed home built for outdoor living, but living turf was never going to work across a waterproofed roof deck, a raised garden and tight practice greens. The owner wanted real-grass looks with none of the mowing, watering or drainage headaches, on every level.
We treated each surface on its own terms, then unified them with the same premium Namgrass so the property reads as one continuous green, from the rooftop reflecting pool down to the putting greens by the gate.

From roof slab to living surface.
A home like this is a stack of surfaces, and each was built up in its own way. Here is how the turf went down, phase by phase.
Base & drainage
Every good surface starts underneath. Over the bare slab we screed a level sand blinding, then lock down interlocking drainage cells, a continuous void that carries rainwater to the outlets so water never sits under the turf.
The rooftop deck
On the roof, a timber platform and a reflecting-pool surround were framed out first. The turf was then fitted tight around the pool edge and the deck boards, so the finished lawn sits flush with the water and the timber, wall to wall.
Garden putting greens
By the gate, we shaped dedicated putting greens: short, dense true-roll putting turf with cut-in cups and a longer fringe around them, so the ball breaks and rolls the way it should. A practice green that stays fast in any weather.
Cared for, year after year
A premium install is only half the story. Across the years since 2019 we have been back to groom, top up and re-lay sections as they wear, lifting worn turf, refreshing the base and re-seaming, so the greens and lawns keep looking and playing like new.

One material, every surface.
Drains on every level
Roof, deck or garden, the same drainage-cell base sits under the turf, so rain runs straight to the outlets. No pooling, no soggy greens, and the roof waterproofing stays protected.
A true, lasting roll
The putting greens use dense, short-pile putting turf with a proper fringe, so the ball rolls fast and true, and grooming keeps that roll consistent season after season.

We built it and we still look after it. Because the same team installs and maintains, worn areas get lifted, re-based and re-seamed cleanly, and the property keeps looking freshly laid.
