When White Sands in Pasir Ris was refreshed, its signature move was a set of sculptural, wave-shaped balconies rippling around the atrium. We wrapped those curved fascias, level after level, in premium Namgrass, so the whole void reads as a cascade of green from the ground floor all the way up.

White Sands wanted its refreshed interior to feel green and calm, a contrast to the usual hard, glossy retail finishes. The wave-form balconies were the perfect canvas, but living plants on curved, multi-storey fascias would be impossible to water, light and maintain.
Artificial grass was the answer: it hugs the tightest curves, needs no light or irrigation, and looks freshly cut every day of the year, even on surfaces no gardener could reach.
